What exactly does EasyDuplicate copy when I duplicate a post?
EasyDuplicate copies the post title, content (Gutenberg blocks and Classic Editor), slug (appended with -copy), post status (set to draft), featured image, excerpt, all standard meta fields, and all custom fields including ACF Pro, Pods, and any other custom field plugin. The duplicated post is saved as a draft so you can review it before publishing.
Can I duplicate taxonomy terms like categories and tags?
Yes. EasyDuplicate adds a Duplicate link to every taxonomy term row in the WordPress admin. The duplicated term inherits the name (with -copy suffix), slug, description, parent term, and all custom term meta. This works for built-in taxonomies (categories, tags) and all custom taxonomies registered by themes or plugins.
How does nav menu duplication work?
When you duplicate a navigation menu, EasyDuplicate creates an exact copy of the entire menu structure — including all nested sub-menus, menu item labels, URLs, target settings, CSS classes, and custom attributes. The duplicate menu is named with a -copy suffix and can be assigned to any theme location independently.
Does it work with WooCommerce products?
Yes. WooCommerce products are a custom post type, so EasyDuplicate handles them natively. The duplicate includes product title, description, short description, gallery images, all product meta (price, SKU, stock, weight, dimensions), variable product attributes, and all WooCommerce-specific custom fields. The copy is saved as a draft so you can adjust the SKU before publishing.
Is EasyDuplicate really free? Will it always be free?
